Sambal: Dried Prawn

If anyone out there knows a better version, I would really appreciate it if you could share it with me. I was told of the recipe long time ago. Made a great effort to remember it but I can't remember the exact recipe.
Improvised version
The ingredients:

  • Dried prawns (either boil them first or soak them in hot water for a while)
  • garlic
  • salt
  • belacan (pound everything)
